10 Tips For Learning Soccer Freestyle Tricks

You may have heard of the new term that has been coined known as soccer freestyle. Soccer freestyle is a very apt name that is given to those that perform tricks with the ball on various parts of the body. But this isn't entirely new, since you may have been doing the tricks yourself for a very long time.

1. Be creative about learning new freestyle tricks

Creativity isn't something that can be taught. The art of juggling is personal and soccer players will interpret it in their own way. Being creative means using your own imagination and body surfaces that you wouldn't normally use in soccer. You can use your head, arms, chest, the inside and outside of your feet to perform the soccer freestyle tricks.

2. Always aim to gain control of the ball

When performing the freestyle tricks, your body will adapt itself for controlling the ball in any tight situations (tight and tricky situations are de facto for soccer players). The aim of the trick isn't to juggle the ball endlessly, but making it go where you want it to go. This is known as controlling the ball.

3. Learn from the Internet videos

Internet videos available on various sites are helpful for you. Watch carefully and listen to the commentary and read the steps that are written. Practice them in your own backyard. If you aren't getting the trick right, then compare and see where you might be going wrong.

4. Get the feel of the ball

Before you actually start performing soccer freestyle, warm up with the ball for 5-10 minutes. Juggle the ball on various parts of the body till you get the feel of the ball and are comfortable with it.

5. Be composed

Be calm and relaxed when you are performing the soccer freestyle tricks. There's no point in getting agitated if you don't get the move right. Pretend that this is the funniest thing in the world and enjoy it.

6. Daily practice is a must

Don't be complacent when learning the tricks. You need to practice your freestyle tricks on a daily basis.

7. Learn to practice the tricks in seclusion

Practice the tricks by yourself. The urge to show off to the teammates is extremely high. Overcome this urge. Master the trick before you actually perform the trick in front of your friends and team members.

8. Master a trick before you proceed to the next one

Mastering a trick means that you can do it without fail anywhere. Let me give you an example; Start off by performing a trick 10 times in a row. Count the number of times that you have been able to perform the trick. Can you perform the trick 9 times out of 10 or is it just the opposite. If you can truly perform the trick 9 times out of 10 times, then you know that you have mastered the trick.

9. Don't be satisfied and aim for getting more

Never get satisfied with all that you have achieved. Remember that you need to compete with yourself. This means that you should learn new tricks after you have mastered the old ones.

10. Soccer freestyle moves help players to devise their soccer moves

The freestyle tricks that you learn will also increase your overall soccer skills. By practicing on soccer freestyle you will be able to increase the control of the ball. This is one of the most essential skills on the soccer field.
