Real Madrid and Los Angeles Galaxy gave a joint press conference in the auditorium of the CAA Sports headquarters to present the friendly that will pit them against each other on Saturday at 19:00 PDT. Jose Mourinho, Iker Casillas and Cristiano Ronaldo spoke for Real Madrid; Bruce Arena, Landon Donovan and David Beckham did so for LA galaxy.
Jose Mourinho
"My players are physically exhausted after the holidays and their first session. They will be even more tired this afternoon and even more tomorrow. We have new young players who will need time to adapt. They need to be calm and these games will help them integrate."

"Real Madrid feels at home in Los Angeles. We all wish to congratulate David Beckham for being a father again."

"I've known about the extensions on the contracts of Sergio Ramos and Pepe for a long time. It seems things are truly changing at Real Madrid now that the press finds out about things when we want them to."

"I'm happy to have a young squad on which Iker, who is 30 years old, is the second oldest player. This squad has great room for making progress."

Casillas
"We have a very young team that is coming together and that has to make the club very happy. I'm also happy because all four goalkeepers on the squad come from our academy and I've always said that's where the best keepers come from. They all have promising futures and I'm delighted people have faith in such young players."

Cristiano Ronaldo
"Fabio Coentrao is very happy and excited. This is a great chance for him to grow and he will give his all for this shirt. He will show everyone the great player that he is."

"This game will help us get back into shape and it will make people have fun with spectacle despite the fact the preseason has only just started."

Beckham
"Real Madrid was my first team after Manchester United and I'm delighted to face them. They have a young and talented group of players. Cristiano and Casillas are part of an incredible team."

Donovan
"This is a great experience and I'm delighted to have it. It may be a friendly, but the level of our opponent points at how important this game is."

Arena
"It will be a beautiful game in which people will have fun as they watch two good teams. I don't think we have the advantage because Real Madrid is a great team."
