Confidence and pride are other positive results of soccer

Soccer is exercise and it is also fun. When kids play soccer they learn discipline and how to get along with others. They may also decide to play other sports and this leads to a more active lifestyle. These are habits that result in healthier living as the child grows older.
Playing soccer is a way to make friends and being involved promotes self-esteem. Athletes are often more careful about taking care of themselves and avoiding habits that can detract from their game. Self confidence and pride are other positive results of soccer. Soccer players develop a team attitude and become protective of each other. They care about the other team members and look out for them in other areas of life besides soccer.
The link between soccer players and long-distance endurance athletes seems odd at first glance, since soccer is a game involving sudden sprints and bursts of energy rather than continuous moderate-intensity running, but the connection doesn't seem so extraordinary when one considers what happens during an actual soccer match.
Soccer players need a combination of aerobic and anaerobic fitness due to the nature of the game and the fact that there is continuous movement with lots of short bursts of more intense activity. Some positions require higher levels of anaerobic fitness than others, some require more aerobic fitness. A midfield player is required to cover a lot of ground during a game and needs a good aerobic engine. A striker on the other hand requires short bursts of repeated activity and requires more speed and anaerobic fitness.
Soccer stretching exercises come in the health and fitness area. To best prepare your body for the rigours of exercise and to avoid the chance of causing injury to unprepared muscles, it is best to do a series of stretching exercises before beginning your workout or training session. For your neck stretching, Stand with your feet square, facing forwards and reach one arm around behind your head and place the open palm on your opposite cheek. For stretching your shoulders, Stand facing a wall and lean against it with one arm. Now turn your body and head in the opposite direction to the supporting arm and away from the wall. Repeat with the other arm and turn in the opposite direction.
The rate of injury in soccer has been reported to be between 15 and 20 injuries per 1000 hours of play. The rate is slightly higher for female players than male participants. Injuries range from a severe bruise to more traumatic type injuries (broken bones). Overuse injuries are responsible for almost 30% of the injuries in soccer and range from mild tendonitis (swelling of a tendon) all the way to a stress fracture.
Players should also warm-up and stretch prior to any practice or game, and warm-down and stretch afterwards. The most important thing is that you must be properly dressed with soccer uniform and must use comfortable and sweat absorbent soccer jerseys which are advanced wicking fabric technologies that extract moisture from the skin to the fabric's outer surface where it quickly evaporates, regulating body temperature. However, in this article I will give you a few of tips on what you can do in order to protect yourself better.
